What a wonderful ‘Be Spirited’ week we have all had! It was lovely to see the hall transformed into the different prayer stations to enable the children to deepen their relationship with God. The children enjoyed visiting the different prayer stations and having the opportunity to engage in different ways to pray.
In class through Art the children listened to music whilst reflecting on God’s love and coloured in a ‘Mandala’ which is a spiritual and ritual symbol that represents the universe.
The children also had the opportunity to spend time in the prayer garden where they used drama to act out the events of Holy Week which helped them to gain an understanding of the Easter story.
Thank you for your generous donations in the Lenten boxes. The children enjoyed laying the coins down in the library on the letters that represented the Westminster Children’s Society charity. Much fun was had in the afternoon on activities such as scoring goals against the goalkeeper, face and nail painting, hair being sprayed different colours, guess the name of the teddy and many more activities.
The children have worked extremely hard this term and I am sure they are ready for a well- earned rest. Over the holidays if the children would like to complete the fitness and reading tasks that have been sent home then please encourage them to do so.
Wishing you all a Happy Easter!
